Starting with the one everyone asks first.
01 Are we locked in?
No. The door is never locked. You can walk out at any moment, for any reason. The locks are on the puzzles, not on you.
02 Is it scary?
No. There are no jump scares, no flashing lights, no loud or sudden noises, and nobody touches you. Groups with young children and grandparents have played and enjoyed it.
03 Will we be put with strangers?
Never. Every booking is your group alone.
04 Do we need to know the story first?
No. A short film before you go in gives you everything you need.
05 What happens if we do not finish in the hour?
Nothing bad. It was built as a mystery, not a race. In Daniel’s words, “Escape rooms are reputable because you have to get out within an hour or something terrible happens. This is more of a mystery.” Plenty of groups run out of time and still leave happy.
06 How many people should we bring?
Three to six is best. Two can do it, but more people on the same puzzles makes the room more fun and easier to solve.
07 What does it cost?
A $75 reservation holds your slot and covers up to three people. Each extra person is $25, up to six total, paid at the door.
08 How old do you have to be?
You must be 18 or over to make the reservation. Under-18s are welcome with an adult. A group of minors can play as long as a responsible adult stays on the premises; that adult is not charged if they do not enter the room.
09 How long should we allow?
More than the hour. There is a briefing film before you go in, and most groups want a few minutes afterwards to talk about it.
10 What if we get stuck?
Ask for a hint. You can have one whenever you want.
11 Can we cancel or move our booking?
Yes, free of charge up to 24 hours before your time. Inside 24 hours, call or text 607-269-7638 and we will do what we can. No-shows and late arrivals are not refunded, and a late arrival does not extend the hour.
12 Can we bring food or drink?
Not into the room. Food and drink in the lobby can be arranged in advance for parties. No alcohol on the premises, and anyone who arrives impaired will not be admitted.
13 Can you host a private event?
Yes. Birthdays, reunions, team days and class trips. Call or email and we will set it up.
14 Where do we park?
In the Ulysses Town Square lot, outside the door.
